Is Kinook really end-to-end encrypted?
Yes. Messages, photos, videos, voice notes, files, calendar events and locations are encrypted on your device before they leave it. Our servers only store encrypted data and cannot read it. You can compare a verification code with your partner to confirm you are talking to each other.
Is Kinook free?
Yes, Kinook is free to use with no ads. Premium Couple and Premium Family plans add more storage, bigger videos, a year of location history and more families and friends.
Does Kinook work on iPhone?
Yes. Kinook is on the App Store for iPhone. You can also use it in any browser at kinook.gamesatease.com, and your account and history are the same everywhere.
Can I add my whole family?
Yes. Create a family space and invite parents, children, grandparents and siblings. Couples keep their own private chat alongside the family space, and you can add friend couples for a shared group chat.
Who can see my location?
Only the people you choose. Location sharing is off by default, you turn it on per space, choose while using the app or always, and can stop at any time. Locations are end-to-end encrypted, so we cannot see them.
What happens if I change phones?
Sign in on your new phone and your encrypted history comes back. You can also turn on automatic encrypted backups.
